Kensington, British Columbia – On June 7, the Burnaby RCMP received calls reporting something strange: a rogue tire, merrily striking multiple vehicles as it flew down the opposite direction of Highway 1, Kensington.

Unfortunately, one of the drivers was hurt by the runaway tyre. According to the RCMP, he was taken to hospital with serious, but non-threatening injuries.

The RCMP have identified a pickup truck driver they believe is responsible for the tire. He is cooperating with the investigation, while the deadly tire was located and taken care of.

As funny as runaway tires might sound, remember to secure all loose objects around your vehicle to avoid injuring or harming your fellow drivers.
